- 1939 - Born in Moscow. - 1957 - Finished Moscow High Art School and entered the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). - 1957-1962 - VGIK studies during which being a student of the Art School he decorated his first theatrical performances onstage in the training theaters of the Institute of Cinematography and the State Institute of Theater Art: "The Gambler" by Regnard and "The Threepenny Opera" by Brecht. - 1962-1964 - artistic director, “Mosfilm” studio. - 1965 - beginning of contractual work at the Maly Theatre - the leading legitimate drama of Russia – where he as a scene-designer decorated Russian and foreign classic plays
