    «In the work room
I’m walking down the side streets, breathing deeply
Frost curing the feeble old age
    And recruiting forces.
    Finished new work,
I look over the sketches of the past years -
Many of them didn’t find their incarnation
    In linear interlacement
    Suddenly – new idea
    And new rhythms, and new spaces;
And again agitation of the soul,
    In anticipation of a mystery
Painter, if he is not a genius,
    Must live long,
    Intruding into own “Self”
    As deeply as possible
At the bottom of the soul
    Will find the treasures
Which he can present to the world»

    Vladimir Andreenkov

The art of Andreenkov continues the tradition of Russian constructivism and are reminiscent of the great neo-constructivist works by foreign artists Josef Albers, Max Bill, and Richard Paul Lohse…
Vladimir Emelianovich Andreenkov was born in 1930. He studied at the Academy of Art and the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov. He has been a member of the Organization of Artists since 1962. Already in the 60’s Andreenkov, along with other bright artists of “diffirent art”, by now acknowledged and known, such as Ilya Kabakov, Ivan Chuykov, and Vladimir Yankilevsky, was searching for his own unique artistic style.
«Works of one artist might look some how similar to works of the other artists. But it’s not that important. Most important is that he went further on in his works and the features appeared without similarities.
Painter is intended by the nature of his talents to raise spectators spiritually and morally.Descending to the tastes of a crowd - aim of “dirty talents”
Art tends to instill taste and morality through plastique.»
