Dedicated to 82nd birthday of Fazil Iskander and
50th anniversary of Fazil and Antonina Iskander’s wedding
For the first time, a collection of poems by Fazil and Antonina Iskander “Snow and the grapes”, which was published in honor of their golden wedding, will be presented
The idea to hold the festive evening at the Pushkin literature museum belongs the Moscow Government and the Moscow Department of Culture, who are assisting in organizing “The Cultural Center of Fazil Iskander”, supported by charity foundation “New Generation”.
Fazil Iskander – a world famous writer – a classic, a philosopher, a sage. He remains a flawless authority with constantly high ethical position in society already for several generations.
And now, honest, generous, full of smart and healthy irony of mature creativity, Fazil Iskander once again brings clarity and understanding, brings the joy of recognition, love and respect for his readers. And he himself, under any circumstances of life has not lost his inner courage and generosity, continues to carry his creative and guiding mission.
Fazil Iskander is ready to participate in the organization of a cultural center – by passing for public use most of his unique book collection, his own creations translated into many languages, as well as passing the archive, correspondence, readers' letters, articles that were published in local and foreign press, and the documents – the priceless evidence of an entire era.
